- Born in, and survived Northern California until 2000 when I transplanted myself to Alaska. I love Alaska winters even though the darkness and length of winter tends to make me a little "grouchy." I do miss the warmth of California sunshine. My passions are: my grandchildren; quilting; Alaska natural history, flora and fauna.
